What to expect during a treatment

What is Reiki?

“Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.” -Reiki.org

Before the session begins, the client will lay on the massage table, fully clothed & with a blanket covering them.  Soft music will play to help relax the client.

During a Reiki Session the Reiki Practitioner will “tap” into the universal energy. This energy travels through the Reiki Practitioner & then the energy goes into the client.    The client’s energy field will determine where the energy is circulated.

Many clients will feel tingling sensations during the session while others describe feeling as warm energy moving throughout their body. A lot of times clients fall asleep during the treatment.

About Tracy

Tracy began her journey in the Spring of 2003  when she received her first Reiki treatment; by November 2005 she became a Reiki Master (Usui Reiki Method of Natural Healing) & has been practising Reiki ever since.

Reiki is gentle & will help quiet the mind during times of confusion & frustration.

Reiki should be used to complement other therapies & Tracy does not support any individual’s decision to discontinue medication & replace the treatment with Reiki alone.
